Back in Sweden and the sun was shining!!! 25 degrees! It was great. And my game was really good as well, that's why I'm even more disappointed about the missed cut! Unfortunately I lost this tournament on the last 3 holes. In the two rounds I played those 6 over! Anyway, I hit the ball well, started off with a nice eagle on the first hole (par 5) in the first round and I was lying -2 after 15. Then I made a stupid mistake and didn't stick to my game plan. On 16 I hit it it in the water and 3 putts, double. And on 18 same thing, I absolutely wanted to make birdie and again I didn't stick to my game plan! Hit my tee shot OB and there it was, another double bogey. On the second day I told myself to stick with my game plan for the last 3 holes - they are really not that difficult... First we had a 2 hour rain delay, so I only teed of at 2pm. I started off well again, 2 under after 8 and a stupid bogey on 9 from the middle of the fairway. Anyway, on the backnine the birdie putts just wouldn't fall and two bogies flew in although I hit good shots! Then we were on the 16th tee box, they rang the syrene and we had to go back in because of thunder and lightening. 2hrs later I was back out again on my favourite tee box. Unfortunately I new that I just needed to finish par par par and it would be all good. But then I missed two 1m50 putts on 17 and 18 to finish bogey bogey and miss the cut by one shot. I really never thought that I could miss that cut, the way I was hitting the ball. Shit, this is just a stupid game... |
